Releasing the Good Girl Conditioning
From Good Girl to Goddess: Reclaiming the Power Beneath People Pleasing
You were praised for being polite.
For being helpful.
For putting others before yourself.
For not making too much noise.
You learned that to be “good,” you had to be 'nice', kind, pleasing, selfless, not to talk back, ask questions and only speak when spoken to...
That kept you safe because you learnt that silencing your voice and your own needs was self protection and meant you were 'nice' which got you more love....
But version of yourself is outdated...
💫 Where the ‘Good Girl’ Story Begins
Most of us don’t even realise we were been conditioned this way.
We grew up being told:
“Don’t be selfish.”
“Be a good girl and do as you’re told.”
“Only speak when you're spoken to.”
“Nice girls don’t talk back.”
That version of you — the one who prioritised peace over truth — may have helped you survive your childhood, your workplace, or even your relationships…
But now she’s standing in the way of your wholeness.
Because being the Good Girl comes with silent costs:
The fear of saying what you really feel.
The guilt that bubbles up when you dare to choose yourself.
The exhaustion from always doing, fixing, smoothing things over.
The quiet ache of not being fully known, fully seen, or fully expressed.🔥 The Hidden Cost of Being “Good”
The cost is high.
They become women who:
Struggle to say no.
Apologise for having needs.
Downplay their success so others don’t feel uncomfortable.
Feel guilt when they rest or put themselves first.
Crave deep love, purpose, freedom — but feel guilty for wanting more.
This is not because you're broken.
It’s because you're been taught that your power is dangerous — and your desires are too much.
But it's time to rewire these stories:
Your desires are not a flaw.
They’re sacred.
They’re yours for a reason.
🌹 The Goddess Doesn’t People-Please
She isn’t reckless.
She isn’t cold.
She isn’t selfish.
She’s so deeply rooted in who she is that she no longer abandons herself to belong.
The Goddess in you is already there. She’s the part of you that realises:
“I’m tired of being everything for everyone but nothing for myself.”
“It's time for me to reclaim ME”
🔥 This Is Where the Alchemy Begins
Reclaiming your power isn’t about becoming hard.
It’s about becoming whole.
It’s about:
Identifying the beliefs that keep you small (often subconscious).
Healing the nervous system patterns that say “you’re only safe when you’re pleasing.”
Reawakening your natural rhythms, boundaries, and desires.
Learning to lead your life from feminine truth, not performance.
You weren’t born to shrink.
You were born to rise — in softness, strength, and sacred fire.
💫 Tips to get started:
1. Be honest about your true desires (and if you don't know what these are because they've been suppressed - time to begin a new, beautiful!)
What do you really want — not what you’ve been told you should want?
2. Notice when you’re people-pleasing.
Are you saying yes out of alignment, or fear of disapproval?
3. Validate your own needs.
You don’t need to justify your rest, pleasure, boundaries, or emotions. They are valid because you are.
4. Work with your nervous system.
This work goes deep. These patterns are often woven into your body.
Somatic practices can help you release the fear of being “too much” or “not enough.”
5. Get support.
This journey isn’t meant to be walked alone. You don’t need to carry this quietly.
🌺 You Deserve to Take Up Space
The real you — the soft and the strong, the sensual and the serious, the intuitive and the ambitious — deserves to exist in her fullness.
You are not here to shrink yourself for comfort.
You’re here to remember who you are.
To embody the woman beneath the good girl.
To let your desires lead the way.
