The Rise of the Matriarchy

Why I started Rise As a Goddess

For generations, we’ve lived in a world shaped by a patriarchal way of being.

A world where success was often measured by how productive we are, doing more, staying strong, and keeping emotions in check. Where women, for a long time, were expected to be smaller, more accommodating - submissive..

And when we began to step into spaces that were traditionally occupied by men, we adapted.

We toughened up.
We learnt to keep up.
We learnt to prove ourselves.

In many ways, we had to.

But somewhere along the way, we lost ourselves...

Because that way of being - constantly pushing, striving, hardening ourselves - was never truly who we are.

For a lot of women, strength started to look like endurance.

Holding everything together.
Not showing how we really feel.
Being the dependable one, the capable one, the one who copes.

We became strong in ways that helped us survive…

And now, more and more women are starting to notice that.

This way of being isn't working any more...

Women are starting to rise...

Women are beginning to question the way things have always been.

We’re realising that we don’t have to fit ourselves into a mold that was never designed for us.

That we don’t have to choose between being strong or soft.

That we can be both.

We are beginning to realise that strength doesn’t have to mean hardness.

That you can be:

  • Strong, without shutting yourself down

  • Soft, without being submissive

  • Kind, without overgiving

  • Firm, without being aggressive

Returning to Ourselves

For many women, this feels like a return.

A coming back to something that was always there, but perhaps buried under expectations, roles, and ways of coping.

It’s learning to listen to yourself again.
To trust what you feel.
To honour your energy, rather than override it.

And it doesn’t happen overnight.

It’s small shifts.

Saying no when you would have said yes.
Resting when you would have pushed through.
Speaking up when you would have stayed quiet.

The rise of the matriarchy isn’t about control or dominance.

It’s not about becoming something bigger, louder, or harder.

It’s quieter than that.

It’s in the woman who chooses herself without guilt.
The woman who no longer feels the need to prove her worth.
The woman who allows herself to be both strong and soft at the same time.

A New Way Forward

Maybe this isn’t about replacing one way with another.

Maybe it’s about creating something more balanced.

Where strength and softness can exist together.
Where success doesn’t come at the cost of your wellbeing.
Where you don’t have to lose yourself to belong.

Our natural way of being is to be in rhythm with nature..

To honour our own cycles

To be in circle with other women and empower each other

To be intuitive

To know we are sacred and treat ourselves that way, and be treated that way by others

To never be in competition with each other and lift each other up

If you've ever burnt out...

I believe that the modern way of living was never meant to fit our true selves.

We burn out when we feel out of alignment...

... with who we are...

...our natural way of being...

...always having to be busy when our bodies are calling us to rest....

The shift is already happening.

And it starts, quietly, with each woman who chooses to come back to herself.
